Factors Affecting Disease Development of Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp . raphani Kendric et Snyder) and Selection for Resistance Line in Radish (Raphanus sativus L.)

Abstract
This experiment was carried out to obtain some informations for breeding of resistant varieties to Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarim oxysporum f. sp, raphani in radish (Raphanus sativus L.). The results were as follow: Disease severity was increased with concentration of inoculum. Root dipping methods were more effective than soil inoculation. There were no significant differences in disease development among different plant ages at inoculation. Interaction between concentrations of inoculum and methods of inoculation or ages of seedling was found respectively, but was not found between methods of inoculation and ages of seedling. Two lines (LI 1, LI 2) were turned out to be resistant to Fusarium wilt as compared with LI 3 (Asgrow Co. var. Red Prince). Yonghyun group was more resistant to Fusarium wilt than another local variety groups experimented. Local commercial varieties were not significantly different from one another in disease severity.
